We have put in the number one reason on these pages before, escaping from the Trumpfuhrer, but there are a myriad of reasons that Americans should move to Valencia in Spain before either Florida or California or any other place often compared with Valencia and Spain. The numbers of AmericansContinue reading

Finally a Quiet Week
I guess I shouldn’t be celebrating of course as without clients it is difficult to make sales but this week is no looking too busy for a change. Therefore if you are thinking of coming to see some property in Valencia I can fit you in most days this week. Here is just a quick selection of some things that have become available in the last couple of weeks at decent prices.
The Latest Superb Video From TurisValencia
The Valencian tourist board do one thing very well, video. In the past they have put together some excellent promotional videos for the city and you can see them at their YouTube channel here. Now they have teamed up (No pun intended) with Valencia football club to present the city to you through the eyes of some of the footballers from Valencia. Check out the sights and sounds of Valencia as they take you around the city and its iconic places.
When Family Circumstances Give You A Bargain House In Spain
I got a call at the end of last week from a client whose house for sale in Spain is really nice. Because of circumstances he needed to go back to Germany and he wanted to reduce the price on his house rather dramatically. So here it is a price reduction from 320K to 160K, and it wasn’t massively overpriced at 320K either. So if you want a bargain house for sale in Valencia at 160k Euros with beautiful views
How A Couple of Junkies Can Torpedo A Sale
City life is the same the World over. There are marvellous things and there are things that anyone would be sad to see. Think about begging on the streets, people rummaging in bins, and junkies shooting up in public. Now I know that New York managed to clean up the city some time ago with a zero tolerance policy towards anything considered anti social although that seems to be falling apart now. Spain has a similar problem, a friend of mine has just moved out of Barcelona due to the scams, prostitutes and general feeling of the Ramblas these days, and when I went to the UK recently the same problems were evident there except without the joy of the Ramblas and Barcelona in general.
Educational Options for Bringing 18 Year Olds To Spain
This is just a quick blog post to answer a question I saw on a forum. What can you do if you are bringing an 18 year old to Spain from the point of view of their education? Previously there wasn’t much that you could offer them if they didn’t speak Spanish. Now in Valencia there is a new option.
Food In Spain. Tip Number 27 Of Our 100 Tips For Moving To Spain
Tip number 27 of out 100 tips for moving to Spain talks about food and how you should explore the tastes of Spain when you come over here. If you stick to your normal diet then food becomes a lot more expensive. Fresh food tends to be cheaper here but processed food is quite a bit more expensive. I have included two videos today, the first is the tip and the second is one I made last year that talks about the price of fruit and veg in Spain.
Advice For The Valencian Summer
A video post giving you some advice about public transport in Valencia and how to avoid the summer traffic that grows exponentially by the beach in Valencia. The second year of the crisis probably means that more people will be holidaying at home

In conjunction with the last offer from Houses For Sale in Spain and Valencia Property of the free audios I have decided to make the next offer even better. (If you haven’t got it then for the explanation go here and get on the mailing list in order to get your free audiobooks)

Do You Want To Be On TV
I am currently working with a TV production company who want to film an episode of their programme here in Valencia. They are looking for a couple coming out to buy in Valencia with only one criteria they should be looking for a place with sea views. If you are that person and you are here between the following dates then get in touch with me on grahunt@gmail.com and I will put them in touch with you. Obviously we are looking for higher end clients here so we can show “better” properties which look good on the TV.
Thoughts on Using Facebook
I have previously recommended various services to find out more about Spain, what is happening in Spain and living and working in Spain. Now I want to quickly look at how you can get more from Facebook so that you are never short of information.
My First Ever Live Blog: Urbe at The Valencia Feria
I thought I would give you a feeling of a quiet Sunday morning here in Valencia. I have come along to the Urbe exhibition in the Feria to see what offers are on this morning. The facts are rather shocking. Urbe Desarrollo is the big real estate fair for the Mediterranean and it happens in November. I have blogged from there for the last three years about how it is going to the dogs.
Cafe Society In Spain
Thought I would film a gritty realistic video about working class life in Spain. OK no I didn’t, what I did was to film a video in low light and put it in black and white showing cafe society in Spain.
Volcanoes, Flying and Stranded Clients. Getting Back From Spain
Firstly there are worse places to be stranded than Spain and more particularly Valencia when an Icelandic Volcano blows its top, although the weather has been a bit shocking for those who are enjoying (sic) an extended stay. Let’s look on the bright side first, some people were able to go to the Valencia match on Thursday, the hotels have space as people cannot get here, there is a big wine festival on in the riverbed and the sun has come out this afternoon.
Why I Love Where I Live
A couple of days ago you might have seen the video posted in this post. I thought I would take a moment to explain why I love living where I do, the house not the area, that is for another post. The type of house is important though
Busy, Busy, Busy
Having got back from the UK yesterday night I hit the ground running today. Extremely busy day trying to catch up and then taking a client out to see the pictured house. Priced to sell at 199000 Euros we hope that a deal can be done when the husband brings the wife at the weekend.
Other Spanish Blogs of Note
Today I thought it time to point you to some of their blogs so you can see what they are writing about. This is another great way of getting to know more about areas of Spain and people’s businesses and lives.
