On the city side of Olocau (30kms to city) this villa is in the development of La LLoma. La lloma means 'ridge', and this villa is on elevated land with fantastic views of the land around.
It faces south, and so it is always illuminated. The photos you see below are not filtered. The blue of the sky, of the water, and the green of the surrounding hills, fields and trees are the real colours of valencia.
And so it makes sense that the previous owners of this place were art lovers. I know they were because all the artwork on the walls have certificates of authenticity, and are also available for purchase if desired.
So what brings art lovers to a place like this? I suggest you have a look at the works of Joaquin Sorolla. A Valencian-born painter he went on to conquer the New York art scene, but some of his finest are Valencian beach scenes. He captured the Valencian light. Its hard to describe, but the light here is distinctive. Bright clear, sometimes overpowering.
Of course, there's only so long you can squint in 35 degree heat before you need to come indoors, pool or no pool. This house is comfortable and spacious, 3 bedrooms and in fact there is a separate guest house with another bedroom. The house comes as it is, fully furnished, and already connected to super-fast internet.
It's a brilliant property, and the price is really blinding too. An eye-watering proposition.
