Volcanoes, Flying and Stranded Clients. Getting Back From Spain
Firstly there are worse places to be stranded than Spain and more particularly Valencia when an Icelandic Volcano blows its top, although the weather has been a bit shocking for those who are enjoying (sic) an extended stay. Let's look on the bright side first, some people were able to go to the Valencia match on Thursday, the hotels have space as people cannot get here, there is a big wine festival on in the riverbed and the sun has come out this afternoon.
Why I Love Where I Live
A couple of days ago you might have seen the video posted in this post. I thought I would take a moment to explain why I love living where I do, the house not the area, that is for another post. The type of house is important though
Why We Don't Do Inspection Flights
I was asked a litany of questions by a client yesterday evening and I am very happy to answer them all but one was particularly surprising, and I quote; "Can you fly us out there to look at the properties?"
A Simple Video Post - Property For Sale In Valencia
I will explain more in my next post but currently enjoy the video which is a bit self explanatory. Living in a property in Spain with shared facilities.
Chickens, Mules and Two Old Fools
This book was so good I really regret the month I spent not being able to read it from when my copy arrived. See my video post about it below but really just go to the Amazon link and buy it. The highlights for me are the anecdotes about the jellyfish sting, the snake and the whole saga of the chickens. This is one of the few books I have read recently that has actually made me chuckle out loud and the recipe interludes are inspired.
Busy, Busy, Busy
Having got back from the UK yesterday night I hit the ground running today. Extremely busy day trying to catch up and then taking a client out to see the pictured house. Priced to sell at 199000 Euros we hope that a deal can be done when the husband brings the wife at the weekend.
Impressions of England
There are certain things in life that are certain.- One of them is that wherever I go in life the place that I call home will follow me. Years ago Valencia wouldn't have been a blip on my radar but now wherever I go I find Valencia all around me. We go to Little Chef for breakfast, I know I know, but it was right next door to the hotel and what do we find, Valencia orange juice for breakfast. Now I know this is no great shakes in the grand scheme of things but until the last decade you can guarantee this wouldn't have happened. It is the same as recently all we have seen on the road has been the Kia Carnival because we recently got one. Until something is in your Universe you don't notice it at all.
Easter in Spain
I am in the UK over Easter and writing this from there as I listen to the pitter patter of incessant rain on the roof. It is a relaxing sound so don't worry about that of course. Easter in Spain is when things start to warm up of course and not before time if you have lived through the longest winter in Spain in living memory. The dams are full of water. It has rained and even snowed loads during the winter and the heating bill on electric made me long to move closer to the equator.
Our New Community Forum on Houses For Sale In Spain
We have a forum. But it is not a typical forum. It is for suggestions. Go to the little red tab on the side of the page saying "feedback" and click. A little lightbox will come up and you click on the bit asking “Post in Here Your Ideas That Can Help Us To Help You”. If you have any ideas that will help us to make our service better then we will be happy to try it out.

Some More Photos From Fallas
A friend of mine has a spiffing new camera and he used it to take some great photos during Fallas. I thought I would put them up on here so you get an idea of what great photos can look like taken with a decent camera. ie not mine ;-) So thanks for these Wayne and one day I will get a decent camera too and you can teach me how to use it.
You Have To Be Quick These Days
Last week I put up a Spanish bank repossession property on the Valencia Property site in Lliria. Have a look here. Anyway the point is that I had someone go and see it as they were looking for Houses for sale in Spain that needed modernising and they thought they would have a think about it. I also had somebody flying out to see it next Friday. Unfortunately it is now sold. The bank accepted an offer of 95000 Euros on it when their asking price was 124000 Euros
Fallas Has Finished in Valencia For Another Year
I don't know whether it was just me or whether Fallas was rather muted in comparison to other years this year. The monuments seemed a little smaller and the chaos of the war zone a little quieter. However the city was still buzzing with so many people around that it was virtually impossible to move around. The weather was kindish until the last day when it became overcast and hotels in Valencia are reporting occupation around the 100% mark so they are quite happy.
Updates and Time Off From Houses For Sale In Spain
As I said the other day Valencia is in Fallas. What does that mean? Well just about everything stops. And next week I stop for a time. If I cannot keep up with you next week then sorry but I am a tad busy, five clients coming over, a signing of a property, six projects to be updated and quite a bit more. I might find some time to pack.
