When you are looking for houses for sale in Spain or even flats for sale in Spain you should bear in mind the local fiestas of the area you are looking at. An example of this is that I have meetings set up next week and viewings with clients of flats in Valencia. Valencia is currently in the Fallas fiestas, and this post will have some photos added later of the Fallas models in Valencia, and half of the roads in the centre are closed off and the other half virtually impassible.
Fallas fiestas are big business in Valencia. March is a relatively dead month in most of Spain as it is pre Easter and not usually warmed up yet. However today was the first day that I touched my steering wheel after parking for a time and said ouch. Yes things are warming up in the weather, the city and also the property market in general as the new lower prices on BMV Property for sale in Spain bring in more bargain hunters.
So if you are planning on visiting this week give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the Fallas as well as the flats and make sure that you don't mind walking because cars are relatively impractical in the centre. Thursday and Friday are holidays by the way next week and the schools in Valencia are off all week so don't expect much space in the city and it will be full of kids throwing bangers and other pyrotechnic material all over the place.
