A Mini-Glut of Sales of Spanish Property

Sales of Property in Spain Picking Up

(At Least in Valencia)

I sent out a message to my mailing list yesterday as I was amazingly surprised by the experience I had this week when trying to book visits for a client. Have a look and see what you think.

"Strange experience yesterday. I phoned three houses for a client for visits today and every single one of them had sold in the last two weeks (None of them had bothered to tell me of course!) This tells me two things. Firstly the market is starting to move (Or it is a strange coincidence and I discount that) Secondly and probably more important for you is the fact that it shows the houses are now at a sellable price and deals are being made. (It also shows that mortgages are being approved and signed for :-) )

Onward and upwards for your property in Spain." Houses for sale in Spain continue to be in demand and it seems now that things are happening. Now when I say upwards I am not so naive to think that prices are going to take off just yet, and possibly not for a time, I stand by my prediction of a further fall of around 8-10% for the Spanish property market before the end of this year with then a flattening out of prices for a couple of years until excess stock is taken up. However, those falls are generally factored into our prices already as our sellers are told about the realities of the markets and they also wish to make a quick sale.
