I was with a client yesterday looking for a flat in Valencia and I finally managed to contact the owner of a place that has been looking interesting right by the Central Market in Valencia. I have to say I was rather confused because I had seen it at one price from the owner and then also noticed at a considerably cheaper price through an estate agent. So I phoned up.
It turns out the price was actually a lot cheaper than even the estate agent had it because the owners have to sell due to the mortgage. So a flat advertised at 159k which looked interesting at that price if a little negotiation was allowed is actually on sale at 112k, a reduction of 47,000 Euros.
I also phoned another place I have had my eye on for some time as I checked out the property online and found two prices but both from the owner. Previously listed at 240k it was now listed at 200k and that price was negotiable too. For a central Valencia flat within viewing distance of one of the most emblematic buildings in Valencia for less than 2000 Euros per square metre with a terrace, it now looks a good deal.
Photos will follow but this post serves to tell you that if you are patient then you can find what you are looking for as long as you give me the exact requirements and can move quickly. I don't expect either of the properties to be around for too long.
