I was asked the question which of the properties on the Valencia Property site would you buy if you were moving at the moment? For me there is no competition and I will tell you where and why in a moment but first let's look at why people buy property. Everyone has a different motivation for buying a property in Spain or anywhere else for that matter. Mine are as follows. I have three kids one of whom is away at University but the other two are small and want outside space if at all possible. I need 4 bedrooms therefore but also I want an office space, living room and decent sized kitchen because I spend a lot of time there. I am not too bothered about off road parking and I would prefer to have outside space and a pool but without the hassles of looking after them.

Therefore the type of property I want is pretty well defined and I happen to live in a property like that. However as I write this I can see on the other side of my garden a property for sale that I was shocked by yesterday. Why was I shocked? Well the owner has dropped the price from 240k to 150k as family issues mean it needs to be sold and I think it is not only an outstanding bargain of course but at the same time it ticks absolutely every one of my boxes as regards what I want in a house (It even has a garage too and a second kitchen!). Therefore I would not hesitate to buy that property if I were looking for a place to buy at the moment. I would be putting the deposit down whilst on the phone if possible. So if you want a townhouse with shared gardens and pool on top of everything but with your own little oasis then this is the place for you.

Nevertheless I recognise that not everyone wants the same as I do in a property, and maybe you don't want to live opposite me either despite the fact that the house is in a town with all facilities walking distance away, public transport, sports centres and supermarket within 100m.
