Property Near The Formula One in Valencia This Weekend

It has been over 40 degrees which is very unusual but it looks like it will be ten degrees less tomorrow which is when the practice starts for the Valencia Grand Prix. Who will win this year? Well whoever gets to the first corner first probably šŸ˜‰ Let’s hope we at least have a Mark Webber moment to liven things up. The point of all this of course is that this is the last year when Valencia will have a Grand Prix every year. In future it will take turns with Barcelona.

However this shouldn’t effect the real estate market in the Cabanyal area of Valencia as it has fallen a long way on the back of broken promises to gentrify the area and extend Blasco IbaƱez Avenue down to the beach. This means that there are two excellent places to buy near the beach, the Cabanyal itself and the Malvarrosa area further away from the Grand Prix track to the North but near to the Universities so popular with students. However these are separated by a no man’s land of decrepit flats waiting to be demolished or rehabilitated and as such they find themselves in a limbo of squats and an itinerant population. Eventually I am sure something will happen there but my current bet is that the extension of Blasco IbaƱez will happen, knocking down the properties rather than rehabilitating them.

This situation has led to a lot of bargains down by the sea front in Valencia both in the Cabanyal and Malvarrosa. On the Valencia Property site in the last week we have placed properties down within a five minute walk to one of the best city beaches in the World from 54000 Euros. The buildings are not the most Ā glorious in looks but the flats are really nicely put together two and three bedroom flats with excellent facilities around. They are in working areas so there is lots of Spanish being spoke around you as you go down to the beach from your flat.

There are also larger flats in the more well known areas near the beach such as this one below at 190000 Euros. It is well over 100m2 and just two hundred yards away from the Formula One track and the port. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms with a large living room and also a full dining room. Well positioned and a huge terrace above to enjoy almost exclusively.

The question is do you want to live by a beautiful Mediterranean beach in a large exciting city in the heat of Spain or do you prefer the centre of the city and using the great Valenbisi system, metro and buses to go down to the beach? With this property you get a lot of space at a decent price, much more space than you would in the centre for example. However you would give up on the delights of the old town and centre of Valencia, one of the most visually attractive cities in the World.
