I have had two really good deals passed onto me in the last couple of weeks but they are chalk and cheese as to what your money will get you. So the question is do you want a large city apartment overlooking a church or a huge country house overlooking rolling orange groves. It's a really difficult choice for most people who are not clear on their requirements but for those with a laser targetted focus there is really no choice. If you want a city pad then that is what you want and if you want lots of outside space and a pool then a city pad is not an option.
The properties in question are both underpriced in my opinion but they are so different. Firstly we have a huge apartment in the centre of Valencia. It might well be sold by the time you read this but I am putting it out there just in case. 140m2 in total with four bedrooms, a huge living and dining area, good sized kitchen and two bathrooms and that rarity a decent terrace overlooking a nice view of a church. The owner is moving to South America, has no mortgage on it so has placed it at a very attractive price so he can get on with his life. (See the full set of pictures here)
Compare that with a stunning 340m2 house on three floors with an unused attic space, six bedrooms, again a very large living room, huge kitchen, separate washroom, playroom for the kids, underbuild of some 100m for loads of cars and a large terrace at the front overlooking the pool and orange groves. Complemented by a 1770m2 plot and also containing its own bar area, jacuzzi, sauna and changing room with plenty of space for growing your own stuff then you might well consider this if you are looking for an interesting place to live. What's the difference in lifestyle? In the city you have everything to hand whereas in the countryside you will need a car for everything, although there is a bus route four times daily from nearby into the local town, Lliria. The city is noisier but being on the seventh floor with double glazing means not at all noisy inside the apartment and the countryside has different sounds at night but is essentially very very quiet. In both there is space for when you get the inevitable visitors (See this article on Beyond Mañana for the types of visitors you will want) and on both you get a lot of lifestyle for your money.
