I have a question for you if you are already living in Spain or if you are thinking of moving to Spain. Spain isn't for everyone but for those who are here I would really like to know what you find great about living in Spain and which part of Spain you are in and also if you are thinking of coming to Spain what are you really looking forward to? Which part of Spain will you be coming to?

My last post on the site was about why spanish property sells. What to look for as both buyer and seller. You could say that the reasons why a spanish property doesn't sell are directly and inversely proportional but that isn't exactly the case. However the first reason for not selling a Spanish Property given below is very common and a huge impediment. Take a look and tell me what you think.

Last week I had a situation that even surprised me. I try to get Valencia Property and properties in Spain that are extremely salable. Sometimes this means that the speed of the movement in the market can surprise even the quickest of clients. On Sunday last week I went to take pictures of a property in Valencia. It was an apartment in Valencia that was large, with good views at a very decent price. The owner had placed it at 125000 Euros for an apartment with lift half way between the beach and the city centre in a nice area. (You can see it here) Now as you can see it is nothing to write home about in the aesthetic sense but it does the job and per square metre the price is good.

We missed a week I know but life was just so busy with clients and then also the holidays and visits so this week I thought it would be right to make the Spain is Different Magazine a compilation of funny! Spain is Different Issue 14 has a bit of a theme about it. Simply put it has a shocking title but it has been a bit of a shocking week in Spain. We had a general strike, a budget and an amazing story (If true) about prostitutes and bankers in Madrid. There are seven clients visiting to buy Valencia Property in seven days at the moment. The strange thing is that three of them have chosen to see exactly the same houses. Therefore in order to give them the benefit of your experience, which of the following Spanish properties for sale would you choose and why? Remember they are different prices and differing styles but each one has its own things to recommend it. They all share one aspect though, a slightly raised position giving really nice views over the countryside for those days when you are sitting on your terrace sipping Sangria and luxuriating in the Spanish sun (or shade).

In the last few weeks quite a few sellers have dropped the prices of their properties because they need to sell or because they want to move onto another property themselves. You can see some of the examples below with the price drops. The question is though, do price drops on Spanish Property make a difference to the demand? The obvious answer is of course they do. In all of the cases below we have had enquiries about the properties as a result of the price drops. However, where do those enquiries come from?

In the summer of 2010 I put together 100 video tips for people thinking of relocating to Spain. Many people have seen the odd video here and there, very odd at times, but have been asking me where they can see the whole caboodle. Well YouTube have recently changed their look and a lot of people cannot find the playlist.

The week may be a bit quiet on the site as again. Just like last week, I have a huge glut of clients. Therefore not much time to put many posts on here giving you the new properties that have been added to the site. Added into this working with "A Place In The Sun", clients coming over and having to get them the NIE numbers in the new system and a few more media appearances being possible it looks like this week will be a tad busy.

I make no bones about it, there is life in the Spanish property market, much more life than most people suspect in fact. There is no doubt that badly priced, badly located and badly presented properties will not sell but the right property at the right price in the right place will always sell. As Meat Loaf once said "Two out of three ain't bad" either. However after a few conversations in the last few days I have to conclude that some people think that one swallow makes a summer and that an individual event predicts a trend even when the truth lies somewhere remote from the actual words spoken.
