Well worth some of your time if you are interested in Spain and/or property. As I said in the last magazine, most people buy in Spain for one of two reasons: lifestyle or investment. However the investment part you need to look at carefully. Many people bought for both lifestyle and investment and most of them crashed and burnt.

I have had two really good deals passed onto me in the last couple of weeks but they are chalk and cheese as to what your money will get you. So the question is do you want a large city apartment overlooking a church or a huge country house overlooking rolling orange groves. It's a really difficult choice for most people who are not clear on their requirements but for those with a laser targetted focus there is really no choice. If you want a city pad then that is what you want and if you want lots of outside space and a pool then a city pad is not an option.

This week I let down a client due to a lack of organisation on my part. I want to make sure that the same thing doesn't happen again for anyone thinking of coming over to visit properties so I thought it would be right to explain the situation and how it arose. The client got in touch with me about two weeks ago and we discussed by email their requirements along with a couple of skype calls.

The writer Jennifer Riggins is the Madrid based correspondent for the Smart Planet website and she grilled me for around an hour about the Spanish property market and the Spanish Property Magazine.

Well then, Apple has brought out a new iPad. It's a little smaller and a lot lighter so you can read it in bed and when you fall asleep and drop it on your nose it won't get broken. (Your nose that is, although your iPad may slide off the bed and crash in pieces on the tiled floor if you aren't careful)

I have finally been able to get a video about the hotel for sale in Mojacár at 615000 Euros reduced off the price to 380,000 Euros. Hugely impressive property with views to die for with seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. Take a look at the video and come and look at the property. The usual question on our great bargains, What's not to like?

I was looking through the excellent Mark Stucklin's Spanish Property Insight and came across some number crunching he has done regarding the price of property in each autonomous region compared with 2002. It makes for very interesting reading. Once we take inflation into account it seems that in the majority of the country it is now as cheap to buy a property as it was in 2002. There are a few surprises though. Madrid prices are a lot lower than they were ten years ago.

Tomorrow I am off on my travels. ON my way to see marbella for the first time, take a look at the Rock of Gibraltar, meet a lot of people who I can "Desvirtualizar" and have lots of meetings with a lot of people. This is all to do with the Spanish Property Magazine to get more agreements in place with agents to show off their properties in the best way possible.

Apple has approved the third issue of the Spanish Property Magazine and you can now go and pick up your copy after downloading the app from itunes. In this issue we look at how to live on a rock in two ways. Firstly a rock in the Atlantic, or a collection of rocks known as the Canary Islands and secondly a Rock tagged onto the Iberian Peninsula, the Campo de Gibraltar. We also take a look at the new residency requirements in an extremely important article by Lisa Sadleir and have a study of how low the banks can go and what makes up the new "Bad Bank" in Spain

A really difficult client arrived last week in Valencia to look at property. Now I don't want you to get the impression I am complaining here because I mean difficult in a good way. How I hear you ask? Well, the client was ultra prepared for their visit and so therefore knew a lot more than the average client about Valencia and the process of buying properties. This created a small problem, the lack of small talk in the car :-).

You may have noticed that there have been a few new properties put into Valencia Property this week however you may not have noticed that a lot of stuff has been going on in the background too. Of the properties there is new stuff available in Lliria, Benaguasil, Valencia, Torrente and Olocau. There are also a lot more to come over the next few days and weeks.

On Friday it rained in Valencia finally. As I have said before it was seven or eight months since the last time it rained so it was well overdue. However, when seven months rain falls in one night it can cause a few problems. Take a look at my Facebook profile to see one of the effects of the storm in Valencia, a great photo that appeared in the paper is currently my timeline background picture.

Sometimes you find an apartment so you just cannot sell so it gets ignored and never gets onto the site. Why might one not be able to sell it, price, location, construction quality... any number of reasons really. However, sometimes you get to see a property and you think "What a shame!" It has been ignored, underdeveloped, left to get dirty and generally unappreciated. Guess which category this falls into?

It has been a quiet couple of months for the Spain is Different Magazine as I have been concentrating on holidays, clients and the new Spanish Property Magazine.
